As an Exercise Physiologist working in the industry for the last several years, I find that a lot of people are commonly finding Lower back pain (LBP) to be a regular occurrence or recurrence throughout their daily lives. These symptoms are typically more present if the individuals are not exercising frequently enough or not currently reaching the minimal daily exercise requirements. Especially with a majority of these people taking part in sedentary jobs and lifestyles.
Core activation is a fundamental building block of learning muscular control. This will help to keep the back and spine safe and protected during exercise and can even be used during your activities of daily living. By exercising and moving regularly, learning correct posture while sitting and standing and learning how to properly control and activate the abdominal muscles during exercise, you can vastly decrease the incidence of LBP. All of these important factors help to protect the spinal column during movement and can even assist in enhancing your overall muscular strength.
